Her name might make you think that she’s a McDonald’s Indian dish—but this is only vaguely true. She’s saucy, but not so unappealing. This 5’4” genius hails from Atlanta, Georgia, and is one of the most caring, hilarious, and quirky people I’ve met at Rice. Although she’s pursuing a Biochemistry and Cell Biology major that demands much time and commitment, she’s a passionate and leading member of the Low Keys and RAMHA. On the weekends, you might find her bustin’ out the Stanky Legg/Soulja Boi/Dougie/Droppin’ it Like It’s Hot on the dance floor, or crankin’ out homework in the commons. She does it all (except sports)! Need help with chemistry? Megan’s got you. Need help making a toga from bedsheets? She’s got you. Need some life advice? She has more wisdom than your 80-year old grandpa does. Wherever she goes, Megan’s fiery, indomitable spirit attracts more people to her than a flame attracts in the swamps of Florida. Just wait till you meet her — you don’t know how lucky you are to have her as your advisor!
Seth Padmabandu
Baker - Junior - CHBE - San Diego, CA - Co-Advisor
You can always count on Seth to lead you through the darkness. His megawatt smile will light the way! Luckily for you, his advisor skills can still outshine his pearly-whites. He’s your go-to-guy for any questions you may have regarding navy blue Vans (or anything else!). If you’re lucky, you may even get to see his extensive collection in Baker’s “Sweet Suite.” Speaking of Baker, he’s not a baker, but he sure is an eater, so he knows the best places to eat in Houston (Torchy’s). Despite all the queso, the only kind of chubby he is CHBE (Chemical and Biomedical Engineer). Must be all that sleeping burning those calories. He doesn’t always sleep, but when he does, it’s ALL the damn time. If you’re ever feeling down, he’ll surely comfort you with just two tabs: 9gag and The Walking Dead. You’ll be so enchanted by his padma-beauty, you’ll be there ‘till your computer is rusty. Hey, that’s the name of Seth’s adorably puppy! Rusty... but I bet you already knew that; it’s his favorite thing to talk about (besides Orgo). In all seriousness, Seth is a really great guy, and your O-Week is going to be pretty incogNEAT-O with Seth as your advisor!
Aloysius Utomo

Oh, how felicitous! You’ve got Aloysius Utomo (Aloe-Wish-is Ooh-toe-mow) as an advisor!! He’s Aloysius—so delicious, make them girls go loco. This Indonesian, glorious hunk from H-Town rolled down the street and into Will Rice, making it even more marvelous. He’s the opposite of contentious, duplicitous, and overanxious. You might call him adventurous, bulbous (muscles), illustrious, and ambitious. He’s so caring, you can call him gracious. He’s so polite, you can call him courteous. He knows so much karate, you can call him dangerous (to bad people). He’s such a hard worker, you can call him studious. Gotta go to CVS? Call him transPorscheous. Going out to eat? Call him voracious. If you wanna hang out, don’t be afraid to ask. He’s not mysterious, only outrageous. His laughter is infectious, his intelligence ridiculous. A Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (CHBE) major, how he has so much free time to be active in Engineers Without Borders is wondrous. He’s so industrious, he’s a manager for a yard sale company. Aloysius’s personality is enormous—he’s a stud of a guy. Jump for joy, because this prodigious man will make your O-Week marvelous.
Jane Giang

In a couple of years you will be watching (vague movie title) in the movie theaters. As you’re watching the intro, suddenly “directed by Jane Giang” (Jane-Yung) appears. You double-take...”oh my holy mother of all betches, it’s my affiliate?”...Yes. it’s Jane “let’s get Pho” Giang. You’ll fondly think back on the days when she was your O-Week videographer and had to pretend that all of you were critically acclaimed actors. This majestic half Chinese Cambodian and half delicious as-her-mom’s home-made-tamales- Mexican creature hails from the city of Lilburn (famous for having a Chick-Fil-A), Georgia. A Film and Ecology + Evolutionary Biology double major, Jane is a talented photographer and enthusiast of the outdoors and anywhere else that she gets to wear her beloved chacos. Although Jane is in character half of her life, make no mistake, her intense love for Will Rice, her friends, and all of her future O-Week students is no act.
