What to Bring

Don’t worry if you forget something or don’t have space to pack something. Your advisors will gladly take you on Target runs throughout O-Week and in the ensuing weeks to make sure you have everything that you need and makes you comfortable.

Talk to your roommate:

Don’t bring a lot of winter clothing. It won’t be cold until late October or the middle of November. Cold means 40-ish degrees. But that being said, do bring a few warm and versatile jackets. It can and does get cold here and you don’t want to be without a jacket!

If you need to, you can ship packages to 6330 Main Street, Houston, TX 77005 (but not before O-Week!). This is the same mailing address you will use for the next four years. Packages and mail come conveniently through the college coordinator’s (Joyce’s) office, located right by your dorm. (Parents, this is the same address to send care packages to!).

Reach out to your roommate and discuss some of the things you can share - like a refrigerator, microwave, TVs, futon perhaps, or other things that you don’t need two of.
