Let the Mystery Begin!
The Pink Panthers

Ankush Agrawal
WRC - Sophomore - MECH - Sugarland, TX - Advisor
Look up in the sky! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s just your awesome advisor, Ankush “Kush” Agrawal, grinning down at you from 6’ 5” in the air. A man of such impressive stature, he naturally plays basketball – but don’t be too scared if you decide to challenge him, he lost hair (literally) after a crushing defeat by a guy much shorter. But even though his head may be physically in the clouds, you would be hard pressed to find someone more down-to-earth than this lovable Indian stud. He is the kindest, most genuine guy at Will Rice, and he will do anything and everything for you throughout the year. As the facilities director at Will Rice, he knows the ins and outs of the college government (especially the presidency), and he is super active in helping to keep Will Rice the best college. Ankush is there whenever you need him, whether it’s helping you study last-minute for your physics test, crying with you when the Rockets lose in the playoffs, or keeping you company in the commons late at night. There’s no way to capture all of Kush with a few sentences (he really is that tall). Just be ready to have one of the best weeks of your life with the best advisor there is.

Kyle Giubbini
McMurtry - Junior - CHBE - Eugene, OR - Co-Advisor
Imagine for a moment that it is move in day. Amidst all of the excitement of O-Week, you realize the boiling Texas heat is beginning to get to you. Suddenly, the cool shade of a tall man’s shadow envelops you, providing gentle solace from the sweltering August heat. You direct your gaze upward (...and upward...and upward STILL) until you finally lock eyes with the gentle giant who has rescued you from the evils of sunburn and heatstroke. You, young Owl, have won the advisor lottery because Kyle is truly the best advisor you could have asked for. This Chemical and Biomolecular Engineer (CHBE, for short) hails from the good ole Pacific Northwest, bringing with him a ton of that Oregon charm (this includes a love for tea and nature, as well as a penchant for giving great bear hugs). He also loves sports and is a member of both the club basketball and club rugby teams. Kyle is someone you can truly count on; wherever and whenever you need him, he will be there. Whether you are looking for advice on which classes to pick or simply wanting to head to the Rec and shoot some hoops, Kyle is your guy.

Linda Nguyen
WRC - Senior - PYSC - Pearland, TX - Advisor
What’s that? You need help solving the puzzle? Well good thing you have this Will Rice sweetheart on your side. Quicker than quick sand, word on the street is that this girl has practically solved every puzzle out there. This Vietnamese fireball hailing from the suburbs of Houston can melt the hearts of the tallest of men with a glimpse of her precious smile and tender hugs. The captain for the women’s chug team, Linda “Buddha” Nguyen has spent her days chugging water since before she was potty trained. This senior Psychology major can tell you just about everything there is to know about how the mind works and can spit out facts of just about every serial killer. But watch out, she might try to use her psychology experiments on you, and trick you into giving her $5; I’ve seen it happen. When she’s not learning about personality disorders, this girl can be found watching Pokemon or buying enough nail polish to support a small village. Don’t be startled, this girls’ thunderous foosball skills have sent men running for the hills and her singing skills lure them back for another round. It’s a vicious cycle. Linda has a huge heart and is just as playful as she is serious about her friendships. She is always there for her friends and her peers when help is needed. You have struck gold with this advisor, she’s the best of the best, so prepare yourself and get excited, you are in for a fantastic week with this one.

Mia Polansky
WRC - Sophomore - ELEC - Palo Alto, CA - Photographer
If you’re lucky enough to catch a whiff of a delicious something wafting from the kitchens, then chances are you’ve stumbled on the brilliant Chef Polansky hard at work in concocting her latest gastronomical glory. Besides her culinary skills that can satisfy any soul, stomach or sweet tooth, this hard-working Cognitive Science pre-med is also a devoted and talented photographer–you are sure to catch her running around at various social events capturing everyone at their best as well as their shambliest. Mia’s artistic side also extends to her incredible graphic design skills–she singlehandedly designed Will Rice’s Beer Bike t-shirts that featured a Roman helmet which you’ll see many Will Ricers sporting proudly. While this California girl possesses a kind and generous disposition, she will on occasion unleash a wild side that is a thing of legend, inspiring the hashtag: #miamode. But deep down, Mia is a caring human being willing to help anyone in need, whether it’s by baking them pastries, staging photo shoots where she makes people look like supermodels, or carrying a sombrero filled with Capri Suns and hydrating #thirsty college students on a Saturday night.
